Ian Bryce Productions (Transformers franchise, Saving Private Ryan, Almost Famous) is conducting a worldwide talent search to cast three lead characters in the upcoming feature Unt. Jude Weng Project. Unt. Jude Weng Project is scheduled to start production in August 2019, and Ian Bryce (Ian Bryce Productions) is producing. Christina Strain (The Magician, In Pursuit, Zelos) penned the screen play, and Jude Weng (Black-ish, Fresh Off the Boat, The Good Place) is set to direct.

Netflix will distribute Unt. Jude Weng Project. Casting is seeking three actors of Hawaiian/Polynesian descent, to play lead characters Pili Kawena, Ioane “Io” Kawena, and Hana Okumura. All actors should be physically agile and must be able to swim.

Hawaiian-born but Brooklyn-raised Pili and her brother Io are not happy when their single mom makes them spend their summer in Oahu with their ailing grandfather. However, things get a lot less boring when they hunt for a centuries old treasure.
